Love Mountains? Crave Motion? Saddle Up.
Our active bike tour is built for the mountain-minded and movement-hungry. Cruise through Bhutan on easy-to-moderate rides, tucked between rich cultural stops and quiet moments that hit harder than any playlist.
Feeling gutsier?
We’ll tailor your ride to hit the dirt—off-road trails around Thimphu and Punakha that don’t play nice but reward big.
AM/PM: Land in Paro. Roll to Thimphu.
Touch down, clear customs, and let the mountains do the talking. We’ll get you to Thimphu in style. Got time to spare? We’ll throw in some sights—depends on when the plane gods decide to drop you in.
Wheels down. Eyes up. Adventure loading.
AM: Pedal. Climb. Coast. Repeat.
Hit the road for a 34km ride to Tango or Cheri via Bebena—part grind, part glide, all views. This on-road ride serves just enough challenge to earn that picnic lunch with a mountain backdrop.
2–3 hours of sweat, speed, and scenery.
PM: Culture shift.
Cool down with a visit to the Traditional Arts & Craft School, cruise the Craft Bazaar, and wander at your own pace. When the clock hits 5, step into the legendary Tashichhodzong—where tradition still holds the throne.
Ride hard. Recharge in style. Respect the roots.
AM: Big Buddha Energy, Mountain Passes & Sacred Legends.
Start the day staring down the world from Kuenselphodrang—the massive Buddha who sees all. Climb to Dochula Pass for panoramic Himalayan glory, then ground yourself at Chimmi Lhakhang, Bhutan’s quirkiest temple (fertility, phalluses, and all).
PM: Two Wheels. One Descent. Zero Regrets.
From Dochula to Punakha, it’s 51km of pure downhill flow—wind in your face, asphalt under tire, and the kind of ride that makes cars jealous.
3–4 hours. All glide, no grind.
Thimphu to Punakha transfer: 74km | ~2 hours (if you’re riding shotgun instead).
Ride the legend. Earn the view. Feel alive.
AM: Hike. Raft. Repeat.
Kick things off with a short but sweet 30-minute hike to Khamsum Yulley Chorten—perched high and built for peace. Then trade the trail for the river: white water rafting down Punakha’s wild side, followed by a picnic lunch that actually tastes earned.
Spiritual views. Liquid adrenaline. Solid food.
PM: Culture on the Ground. Views in the Air.
Step into a traditional farmhouse for a taste of local life, walk the timeless halls of Punakha Dzong, then conquer Bhutan’s longest suspension bridge—part thrill, part meditation-in-motion. Evening’s yours to chill.
From sacred heights to river rush. A day well used.
AM: Blessings, Switchbacks & Valley Vibes.
Start with a detour to Chimmi Lhakhang—Bhutan’s no-holds-barred Temple of Fertility (yes, that kind). Then drive up into the stunning stillness of Phobjikha Valley. From the ridge? Hop on your bike and coast 15km into Gangtey—an easy ride through one of the most jaw-dropping landscapes Bhutan has to offer.
2.5 hours by car. 1 hour by bike. 100% soul reset.
PM: Monks, Cranes & Pure Stillness.
Step into the sacred calm of Gangtey Monastery, then connect with the wild at the Black-Necked Crane Center—where nature and tradition fly side by side.
One valley. Two wheels. Infinite peace.
AM: Dirt, Trails, and That Good Forest Energy.
Wake up and ride straight into nature’s quiet chaos—25km of easy-flowing trails and dirt roads that carve through the soul of Phobjikha. No traffic, no noise—just wheels, wind, and wild.
3–4 hours of pure, unfiltered freedom.
PM: Slow it way down.
The rest of the day? Yours. Soak in the silence. Hit a spa or sink into a hot stone bath like a mountain monk off-duty.
Ride easy. Rest hard. Feel everything.
AM: Road Back, Mind Forward.
Hit the highway from Phobjikha to Paro—212km of winding roads, shifting landscapes, and time to let it all sink in. It’s not just a drive—it’s a rolling reflection.
5 hours. No rush. Just rhythm.
PM: One Last Ride.
Hop back on the saddle for a smooth 15km cruise through Paro town and onward to your hotel. Easy pace. Big feels. Full circle.
30–60 minutes of soft pedals and strong finish.
out & Takeoff.
Bag packed. Mind cleared. Soul slightly upgraded. Say goodbye to Bhutan—but not to the version of you that showed up somewhere along the way.
Depart lighter. Carry only what matters.
Full Day: Hike to Tiger’s Nest—Because Some Legends Are Earned.
This isn’t a stroll. It’s a climb into clouds, myth, and muscle burn. The Tiger’s Nest Monastery clings to the cliff like it’s daring you to reach it—and you will. Every step earns silence, perspective, and views that wreck you (in the best way).
One mountain. One monastery. One memory you’ll never shut up about.
AM: Checkout & Departure.
Bags packed. Heart full. Mind reset. It’s time to leave, but you’re not heading home the same way you came.
Exit Bhutan. Enter your next chapter.
